90 percent of total production of Isfahan refinery's fuel oil is planned to be offered in Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX).

Dr. Hosseini, Managing Director of IRENEX told the journalists in a press conference held in Tehran's 8th international exhibition of "Exchanges, Banks and Insurance Industry (FINEX 2014)" that offering of fuel oil is a major step to diversify the trading list of Energy Exchange and satisfy local demands for Hydrocarbon fuels uses in different industries.

"We have conducted tremendous studies and mutual coordination in order to pave the way for offering fuel oil as well as gas condensates with our colleagues both in Ministry of Oil and Ministry of Energy and we look forward to offer more Hydrocarbon products soon", Hosseini added.

With regard to gas condensates, Hosseini furthered; in less than next 2 months we are going to provide required technical facilities for offering huge amounts of gas condensates in Energy Exchange not only for local market ring, but also for export to foreign markets as well.

Broadly speaking, fuel oil is any liquid petroleum product that is burned in a furnace or boiler for the generation of heat or used in an engine for the generation of power. Iran is among the major producers of fuel oil in the world.
